Helium Network 2026: What's New for Canadian Deployers
Mapping Network sells hardware only. We make no promises about Helium network rewards, token value or earnings, and nothing here is financial advice. Check current details on the official Helium network page.

Helium World: simpler setup
The Helium team announced a major update to Helium World, the official dashboard for deployers. According to the announcement:
- You can create an account with an email address instead of managing a seed phrase or crypto wallet.
- A new dashboard shows hotspot status more clearly, with onboarding from your computer.
- Hotspot setup has fewer technical steps.
For new deployers in Canada, the main benefit is a much easier start.
Helium Mobile and Wi-Fi offload
Helium Mobile continues to add Wi-Fi hotspots and subscribers, and partners are installing Helium Wi-Fi in venues such as restaurants, gyms and community centres using existing internet connections. That work is mostly about mobile and Wi-Fi coverage. The Helium IoT (LoRaWAN) network, which our gateways and antennas serve, runs separately.
What it means for LoRaWAN hardware
None of this changes the basics of a good IoT install: a well-placed outdoor antenna, short low-loss cable, a lightning arrestor and a weatherproof enclosure. If you're not sure which parts fit together, try our free Antenna Setup Planner or contact us.
